Our Commitment: Safeguarding is our Foundation

At EMASS LTD, safeguarding is not just a policy; it is our foundation. Our practice is overseen by a qualified Social Worker, ensuring that every intervention is delivered within a high-quality, safe environment that meets all Statutory and Local safeguarding requirements, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004.

  • Rigorously Vetted Staff: All team members are recruited via Safer Recruitment practices and are required to be registered on the DBS Update Service.
  • Expert Oversight: Our leadership team holds Multi-Agency Level 3/4 Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment certification, maintaining direct links with MASH and LADO procedures for robust case management.
  • Continuous Training: All staff receives updates on statutory guidance and receive a minimum of Level 2 Safeguarding training annually, including but not limited to; specific modules on PREVENT, FGM, and Child Sexual/Criminal Exploitation.
  • Professional Supervision: Every practitioner receives regular face-to-face supervision and case management oversight to ensure safe, objective, and reflective practice in line with the Alternative Education Provision Framework.
  • Statutory & Procedural Alignment: We operate in full accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and Working Together to Safeguard Children. Our practice is strictly aligned with the BCP & Dorset Safeguarding Children Partnership procedures and legislative frameworks, and we participate in the annual S175 Safeguarding Audit.
  • Framework Excellence: We recognise and work within the BCP Alternative Education Provision Framework and the 2023 SEND and AP Improvement Plan, maintaining a proactive approach to the graduated response and local Fair Access Protocols (FAP).
